Welcome to Tanhaus Kennels
Then we happened to meet Ilene & Rene Delaere of Karrelene Kennels who convinced us that Gordon Setters were a heaven sent breed to all who really love a happy dog. From their lines we acquired our first bitch, Britty (Am/ Can CH Karrelene’s All Hail Brittania). Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, we were not able to use her for breeding. Then Bonnie came into the kennels.
Bonnie is a dream come true. She won her Canadian championship before age 1 and her American Championship before age 2. Before she turned three she traveled to Mexico to the World Dog Show where, in four days, she gained titles to include Mexican Champion, Champion of the Americas and 2007 World Champion Gordon Setter.
With her recent successful breeding, we truly believe we have a kennel of which we can be extremely proud. It allows us to offer to a select clientele, not only quality show prospects but also wonderful companion dogs. We hope, in the not too distant future, to add additional dogs to broaden our lines and our horizons. It is our desire to make our kennels well known and even more so, respected in the Gordon Setter community. Tanhaus
Kennels was started about 20 years ago as breeders
of top-o-the-line Yorkshire Terriers. Unfortunately,
it went by the wayside for several years as our
kennels dogs aged and went to doggie heaven.
